Would be fun doing another DIY project. I have previously assembled the hifiDIY Panda-kit which was very rewarding both in building it and hearing the result. Besides that, i have also done a couple of custom cables and headphone recable jobs and mods.

well.. actually allmost every high-end headphone will be present at the meet ? The only ones i can think of besides would be HE90, R10 and Edition9 ? So.. its going to be spectacular !

Having listened to two RCA 6as7g's; one grey-plate with top-getter and one black-plate with bottom-getter i dont hear that much of a difference i must admit. At least the difference is very subtle i think ?

Added a Tung-sol 5998, a RCA 6as7g black plate and a Dumont-branded Tung-sol 6sn7gt "mouse ear".. The 5998 sounds good with great bass impact and bass quantity. However i think that the RCA's have better mids in general.. I cant hear much difference between the grey plates and the black plates...

Skylab - I see that you also have a pair of K340's ?.. Do you ever use them, and do you have any tube-preferences for using them with the 336?

My CV1988's looks like the ones at the first picture, but with brown base (they might also be a bit brown at the picture though?) They have the same white printing and black glass and are rather bass-heavy with sweet mids..

well i do think that there is a difference from cable to cable, but im not fanatic at all.. But i have heard the difference between lousy speaker cables and some of a decent quality, which was quite large.. However i dont think that 200$ used on a cable will give me better sound than if i used...

well i dont actually have one lying around, but was thinking of buying one. They shouldnt be very expensive compared to a moon audio, apuresound etc. So i am going to buy a cable no matter what, the question is which.. and if a D5000 would be suitable for a SA5K.. They look and feel nice i think..

Hi guys... My cable on my Sony SA-5000 are broken.. I recon that the cable has broken about where its tied into a knot to keep it inside the cup (which apparently is quite stupid) But i probably need a new cable then; but sending my headphone to apuresound or something is a bit expensive...

I own both in stock condition.. Or well have done the screen mod on the K340's.. but besides that they are stock.. Will say that the SA5K's are the most detailed in general... BUT.. with the K340's there are much more focus on the mids, and i would say that the mids are more detailed.. The...
