I wasn't clear, what I wanted to emphasize is that solderless sounds better. I used these connectors per cdcosta' recommendation.

I replaced Neutrik soldered XLRs on $1k+ Chord Company cables with the clones and got readily audinle improvements at both ends.

In my experience ceramic pieces don't do much for vibration control, use decoupling devices per cdacosta's advice.

Don't forget, these ground boxes respond very well to vibration control.

I did what you did, your descriptions are indeed what I'm hearing. The hologram is more solid and the sense of "thereness" is greater. Any subtle fuzziness or looseness of the presentation has been improved, an analogy would be like snapping in the focus of a fine lens. My casual experiments...

Thanks for this cdacosta, this tweak is a level up for my system. I placed them at the most effective ground box location: the xlr interconnects. I have more crystals and lots of ground box cables to treat, it's gonna be fun.

25kg is more than any component I'm using them with so I can't offer meaningful input on that. Fortunately they're cheap to experiment with. I use a lot of these in my 2 sub system. They're quite effective and make a great performing combo when paired with an absorptive solution like Isoacoustics. You can improve their performance by removing the black o-ring.

As cdacosta posted some time ago, this is a very effective location. Try connecting another box to this and see if you hear an improvement. I have 3 ground boxes connected in series to my xlr IC and each one made a big improvement.

I imagine size, type shape etc of the crystal, location, model of fridge etc will change the effect. It's subtle as you noted so I haven't spent any more time on it. Crazy though, right?
