I got the hip dac 2 instead of the q3. Would you say it was the right call when it comes to sonic performance only?

Actually I meant the moondrop aria. I know it doesn't NEED the balanced output, but I thought I would give it a try. I have other IEMs that run great with the 4.4mm termination of both my hip dac 2 and lotoo paw s1. It's specifically the aria that has these issues, and specifically the 4.4mm part.

I think this might be it, but I think even the mids and bass are very smooth and rounded. Which isn't bad at all, just different than other DACs i have experienced. Any place where I can see these measurements?

okay, got it work. Had to upgrade all firmwares from 1.0.0.7 onwards sequentially. On 1.0.0.12 now.

Reminder, this is a brand new fresh piece. So I am still on 1.0.0.7 firmware if that matters
