    Grado Fan Club!

Hello Grado friends, I have a set of Grado SR125 and the foam cushion of it melted twice even though I rarely use them. So I made a pair of 3d printed adapters for it to fit leather or velvet pads helping me to get rid of the pad melting problems. I've shared the files on the Thingiverse for a...

Fully 3D printed closed-back headphone for 50mm drivers

At the request of a friend from a 3D print filament manufacturer, I started working on this project again since last month. We're going to demonstrate some 3D printing filaments with these headphones. So I did some refinement to the design, and try to tune the sound better. With the same 50mm...

    DIY Earbuds

When I bought the TRN BT20s Pro for my earbuds. I found that they can't fit my ears when plugging with my stemless earbuds. So I draw and printed some shells with stem and they fit really well. 3D printed with PLA using MMCX. Yes they fit, and they fit even better than using with cables.

I have a measurement rig with 3D printed adapter for earbuds. It may not be the most accurate but it measures quite consistently.

    Earbuds Round-Up

I have these 300ohm drivers from QIGOM official store on Taobao. I guess they are the same ones in S300. DIY built a short-stem MX500 balanced set. I drive them with ES100 2.5mm balanced output and I think it controls them well. I mean, at least I didn't hear any distortion. But seems like the...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Thanks for letting us know about the influence of cavity size . I wonder if you have a classification of common shells? I also have 130ohm bery drivers in MX500 shells and one kind of wood shells. I found the Mx500 sounds much more bassy than the wood one. And the wood one has some kind of...

Fully 3D printed closed-back headphone for 50mm drivers

Thanks for your advice friend. I happen to have 2 different types of 110mm pads. So I printed a pair of 110mm baffles and tried them briefly. The angled pads are quite thick. They are like 40mm in the back and 25mm in the front. The distance between the ear and the driver is greatly increased...

Fully 3D printed closed-back headphone for 50mm drivers

Not long ago I put some DIY parts in cart by the way when I was buying ChiFi earphones, including a pair of 50mm beryllium coated drivers. Since I've built a 3d printed headphone conversion for KSC75 before---although it was a failure. I want to do it again to see if the 3D printing headphone...

    Sony MDR MA900 Impressions Thread

I got several of them from the exact manufacturer. They are not that close to the genuine ones, but yeah, that's the closest you can get. They are a bit loose but they have the least changing to the sound signature.
