Another old ears here. I have a ear shape that doesn't lend itself to many in ears, and the Bose system just worked for me, so that's a deal maker. I find their NC a good as it gets for me as well, although that's a combination of factors to all add up. If I ever fly again, it will be nice not...

Sorry for the late reply on this, but the search pulled this up and was exactly what I'm looking for - under a helmet! Other than the durability, is the profile ok? You don't have issues with them touching parts of the helmet?

+1 I would love something super low priced that sounds reasonable. The motorcycle helmet going on a off wreck these, and it would be great to have a bin ready to go.

The Apple Watch and the APP are a great go to for a low impact audio solution when walking - I love not having to carry anything at all, and if you set the noise cancellation to "transparency" you can keep safety in mind as well. There are some good "Prime Day Deals" on the APP, by the way.

Agree on HD6xx. Light and easy. Some people find the SR1a the bomb for comfort, if that's your thing. Very open for sure.

Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'm surprised that like motorcycles and cars, there are so many fewer truly bad options out there now. I think of the classic Tyll Ultrasone review and can't think of a headphone that "interesting". That being said, there are many gaming headsets...
