There is a place in my heart for the Sennheiser's. Some of my first good pairs of headphones. My issue is only with their bass, like you mentioned the lack of extension and slam. Maybe should go for the IER Z1R's. I know its a IEM, but it seems to have the best balance out of the Sony lineup...

As much as I want to throw more money to solve this issue. Most options will cost me an extra $200CAD. And this doesn't even guarantee me a solution. Might have to sell this thing and get a better DAC. Sucks, hopefully people stop buying this broken product.
