Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

The ie900 are the only iem I have tried that I prefer over the full sized headphones I own, period. The only things thatt they don't compete on, imo, are scale & soundstage width. They are remarkable. But......make every effort to try before you buy. They aren't cheap, but if they are for you...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

The supplied cables are a little chunky around the ear when wearing glasses, but are very bendy and the ear hook part holds a shape well. That said, I feel that a thinner wire works better with glasses. I substitute in a cable from my campfire Andromedas, but then I need to use mmcx extenders...

Beautiful match with the mojo2. Add a little bass shelf & play the soundtrack of Dirty Harry 😁 a treat. I've convinced myself, off to listen right now 👍 Ps, as with all iems, tip choice is crucial to get a great seal. Great seal will give you amazing bass with the ie900.

I'm not your mum.....but if I was, I would say "slow down with the buying, son. Enjoy what you have right now before proceeding. There is no need to buy everything right now, they will still be there in a few months.....& clean your room & take the trash out"...something along those lines. But...

Sennheiser HD800 S Impressions Thread (read first post for summary)

Looks comfy, but no way would that fit on my melon. On a sidenote, interesting that there seems to be an excess of headpphone users who have largish heads. I would have thought that it wouls skew more to towards the pin-headed folk, but thats not my (unscientifically based) observation...

    Audeze LCD-X

Great review i.e. totally in-line with my own views of the lcd-x :) The one difference we may have is on comfort. I find that the lcd-x is easily the most comfortable headphone I have ever used. Its like putting on a good old, broken in pair of hand stitched leather gloves. Sumptuous...

Yes, both more open & airy. Which is great when that's what you are listening for. But sometimes I want something claustrophobic, threatening & oppressive in my music....cue the lcd-x up. Ps if open & airy & soundstage is your thing, hd800s are for you. You can maybe pick up a decent used set...

The lcd-x are a beast, with particular genres of music. Rock, EDM, rap for example. If there's an electric bass to be heard, to they are badass 🤟 The Arya are more a jack of all trades. No specific strengths or weaknesses. You can happily throw any sort of music their way & it will sound great...

Don't beat yourself up. The 660s ( which I owned & sold on) & the 660s2 were not well received nor well reviewed. Certainly the 660s did not compare well to the good ol' 600 or 650 imho. I am happy that, for me, the Arya stealth is a good few steps up the audiophile ladder.
