I ordered the JVC Spiral Dot tips, hopefully i'll get a more consistent seal with them. Otherwise i do like the Tenore now for laid-back listening and TV shows etc.

Nice :) The S500 can handle these kind of tracks quite good IMO, including the deep bass notes - better than most headphones i listened to. I need to sleep right now (EU time :D) but i'm curious to hear your thoughts tomorrow

Well, my music is not everyone's taste :D But i would probably test with any Stephan Bodzin or Dominik Eulberg tracks, as they have deep, intense basslines and many headphones struggle with them. If it's not horrible noise to you (i could understand that) I'd appreciate that.

I didn't follow this thread for a while, but a friend asked me for a warm/bassy budget China/Japan in-ear for EDM with non-harsh treble. Are the Pistons 2 still the standard recommendation for that?

Thanks, i will look into it. Using the stock tips it's already much better, i'm giving myself time to adjust to them now. The other tips were just a really bad fit for it, while they were the best for the Pistons.

I just got my Tenores out of the drawer because my other phones all broke.. But i still don't get the appeal. They are completely bass-anemic to my ears. I didn't expect basshead IEMs, but music just isn't fun for me with nearly no bass :/

I hope i'll hear that sub bass you are all speaking of when my meelec bi-flanges arrive. I get a quite decent fit with standard tips i think, but there is still depth missing, which makes the Tenore not that engaging to me. Mid bass is present and sufficient though.

I got my pair today and really like them, i hope i'm lucky and they don't die on me.. Gonna try TF10 and Sony Hybrid tips on them tomorrow
