    Where do I go from here?

    Keep the BTR5 for portable and mobile use. Get the Topping DX7 Pro for desktop use. Search for a refined headphone to use. A Beyerdynamic DT1990 would do. Sell the headphones you are not using. Enjoy the rest of your days! ... and thank me later.

    I didn't try that. But when I connect it to the computer I definitely feel a quality increase. Still, Bluetooth on this thing is impressive. I am just dreaming how great would be if was small enough to attach it to the headphones and go totally wireless :ksc75smile::ksc75smile::ksc75smile:

    Here is Frequency response on compared pads: Funny enough, my preferred pads are the GREEN line. I perceive slightly less bass than with Lambskin pads. And I think the reason comes from the recess area between 150 and 450Hz. Any idea to flatten this area?

    Everytime I saw that issue the xDSD was actually paired to something... Perhaps a tablet, or a family phone, or your laptop. The xDSD pairs to anything that had been paired before. So make sure to turn off the rest of Bluetooth signals before you want to pair a new device...
