Hifiman HM-801 RMAA Tests
Quote: I am crying. Beethoven was deaf, Tchaikovsky did not have absolute ears, but stil was the best conductor of his time (for instance, the conductor on the official opening night of Carnegie Hall). How dare they to do something in music without "audiophile" ears?!- JohnD

Sound Quality: Rocoo-A or S:Flo2, What to buy (for ATH-CK10)?
Need a player for lossless sound only, never video, etc. Don't need sophisticated library tools or interface. Just a player. Both candidates have significant cons: Rocoo-A - 4Gb only, S:Flo2 is large (already too much stuff in my pockets, I hate to wear anything on my belt) and there are...- JohnD

A brief update. I prepared a CD of 17 tracks: Ray Charles, Mozart - Symphony No. 40 I and III. , Count Basie at Newport - Evenin', Jessye Norman, Aretha Franklin, Cecilia Bartoli, Jose Carreras, Betty Carter, Tina Turner, Jodie Holland, and Mussorgsky - Night On Bald Mountain. Went to NYC...- JohnD

Thanks to everyone who helped me. I had a great time. The only problem is after figuring out what I want to have ... No, that was reasonably, easy, the problem is how much it costs...- JohnD

Atlanta Meet Marriott Century Center April 25th
So no changes in the location? Will be driving. If it is possible to listen AKG601, AD900, and AD2000? Will bring a pile of (classical and jazz) CDs to test.- JohnD

There are no AKG K501 on eBay right now. Frankly speaking I don't want to wait. I have nothing against buying used online: I bought used L - lens several times more expensive than the discussed headphones. But I don't want to wait. As of my budget while I earn money for living I am reasonable...- JohnD

Looks like HD650 is outside of my budget. As of DT880 I see PRO and non-PRO versions as well as 80ohms and 250ohms (total 4 choises). What are your recommendations? I am browsing this forum now and I see that for classical music there are recommendations of Audio-Technica ATH-AD900 and AKG...- JohnD
