What is a quality amp to use without breaking the bank? I don't want to spend too much on my first venture into the Hi-Fi market...

I was wondering if any of you have tried these cans un-amped straight from a source. I would be using my Zune80, and was curious if these would be the phones for me. Thanks guys.

How do either of these cans sound straight from a sourse?

Do you think that these require an amp to work, or can I use my Zune stock?

Oh, I know. One of the main reasons that the Q40 is appealing to me is that it doesn't need an amp. I am just curious about future applications.
