I'm just very interested in how exactly the procedure for replacing the 900s (now version) with the 900s (future release) will be handled.   I'm honestly VERY happy with the sound from these IEMs, and I'm not sure I'd want some new unknown sound signature that will be present with new...

I have sent an email to support, I don't expect to hear anything worthwhile.   Also, the tweets I sent received ZERO response.

So it looks like Danz03 has the Asian version that does have the new shell.   Is it possible that the US versions have all been mis-packaged with UE900 shells?

Mine are also the original shells (black connectors, cloudy plastic), everything in the sealed box was from the UE900s though (including cables - thus, gold connectors)   Subscribing to this thread to see what the outcome here is.   I just tweeted them, and i might send them back to amazon...
