Just noticed the Luxman Japanese website mentioned a DA-100 but did not have any info yet.  So I found this website about it   http://www.phileweb.com/news/audio/201110/14/11332.html   It is in Japanese so you will have to use one of the website translators.

Did you take the demo unit home and put it in your system or just heard the demo unit at the store?

Audio Cubes II has it listed for $2200 including a 1000W voltage transformer and the Luxman D-05 is  $3,799.99.   So IF the DA-200 sounds close to the D-05 you can save some money.  The D-05 should sound better but without having both will never know.   If you can get it in Japan then...

The DA-200 would be a good option for people that cannot afford the D-05.

I did not see it on Audiocubes 2 but all you would have to do is ask them for a quote on the DA-200 and they should let you know how much it would cost.

The Luxman is a DAC and a amp so it is going to fill up the whole thing.  If it was just the DAC then it would not be as full.    I would love to get the D-05 but don't have the money but this looks to be about half the cost of a D-05 so I think it will be very popular!!
