I had a listen to those phones' about a month ago in a store where they just got them in. First initial impressions are that they were really comfy, but didn't isolate as much as I would've  liked. Furthermore, the sound was slightly tinny, and screechy, although funny enough many akg phones'...

I'll def get a pair of these to go with me to work and commutes. This is lovely news! I'm a long time AKG lover, too bad they're releasing a new reference studio phone as well, my wallet doesn't exist any more :(

Perhaps you should consider the Goldrings? Goldring DR100 or DR150? (I'd say 150)  They're easily driven and seem to be fairly appreciated around here. On the other hand, you could easily go with an external sound card, which improves the overall quality significantlly, just something to keep...
