I have a feeling it has a lot to do with the hip dac 2. Darker sounding dac..

Just picked up a pair used for $350. Havent got them yet (arriving today) but already feel like i got a good deal. Focal elegias were also $350 (arrive Tuesday). Gonna compare them for a few days and report back

Thanks everyone..just ordered meze audio silver cable with 4.4 terminal because i cant figure out why i wouldnt want the little kick in power the 4.4 apparently provide.

Stupid question…i am getting a pair of the d7200 which have a 1/4” terminal on them and want to attach to an ifi hip dac 2 but it only accepts 3.5 or 4.4 mm plug. Can i get an adapter or should i just get new cables? If so, what size should the plug that goes into the headphones be? Or is it...
