Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Does anybody know if it's possible to use the realiser for mixing, or would the changes applied when doing so distort the virtual effect? Considering that many changes made when mixing has an effect on phase, this might be a problem, but at the same time, if that was the case then the...- Jema

AKG K430 Impressions Thread
dweaver, I would be very interested in a comparison between the k430 and the v-jays. I own the v-jays and consider them to be a very good open portable if you can get them below 50 dollars (the only downgrade being that they are a tad bright). I'm considering the k430 as a closed alternative for...- Jema

Broken headband on DJX-1 and Steelseries Siberia - best way to fix it?
Let me hear what you think of it :) I don't think I'll get it fixed in time before I'll leave. Maybe later...- Jema

Broken headband on DJX-1 and Steelseries Siberia - best way to fix it?
Thank's - finally a comment :) Good to hear someone is comfident glue will work - Ill try that one or an equivalent option. Regarding the sound, they have been broken for a few years now, so it's been quite a long time since I heard them. I remember that I preferred them to my...- Jema

First amp, Harmony Design EAR 90 or other (cheaper) alternative?
Yeah, it seems to have been released. Apart from Sweden they also have resellers in Germany, Holland, Italy, and Hong Kong. Seems to be quite the heavyweight amp- Jema

First amp, Harmony Design EAR 90 or other (cheaper) alternative?
Thought I'd update this for those who might stumble across it in the future. I never got to buy the EAR 90 - the seller decided to keep it just as the deal was being closed. It's unfortunate as I was really looking forward to it, but since then I found a good deal for a Cute Beyond (about 85...- Jema

Yamaha 01v mixer as headphone amp?
Thought I would close this thread - I've since then bought a Cute Beyond as my first amp. Maybe I'll get the 01v anyway for mixing and PA work, but that's something for another forum.- Jema

Sennheiser 585 - anyone know these phones?
Yeah, I thought as much, but I've seen it elsewhere too, so I was beginning to wonder. Anyway, the seller came back to me and corrected it - it was the 595.- Jema

Sennheiser 585 - anyone know these phones?
I stumbled across an ad for these, and can't seem to find any information on them. Does anyone know if they even exist, or is it a mistake by the owner?- Jema

First amp, Harmony Design EAR 90 or other (cheaper) alternative?
I don't think source is the villain - as I said, I also tried it on a high-quality CD-player, and with SACD - didn't make a difference (could be that the CD-players output has a good amplifier though that diminishes the differences). Anyway, I went back to the store yesterday and made a...- Jema

Unsatisfied with HD-600s
To follow up my reply on the HD600 and the EAR 90, I went back to the store yesterday to try the amp with some other headphones. I tried the HD650, 595, 598, the AKG k701, and for fun, the porta pro I carry around these days. It was a quite quick test over an hour, so I simply switched between...- Jema

Unsatisfied with HD-600s
I forgot two other factors that of course could contribute - that I either don't have very good or "trained" ears, or that I don't know what to listen for.- Jema

Long awaited Smyth SVS Realiser NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
I just discovered this device a few days ago, and find the possible uses for it amazing - even more so if it becomes more readily available in the future. Has anyone tried it with both closed and open cans to see if there is a difference? I was wondering, since it effectively makes...- Jema
