PPA v2 construction discussion
Hi! I would like to know if anyone of u experts here could please explain this for me: In the instructions to PPA it says that Q4 should at least have a Idss of 30 mA. However, when I run it in a spiceprog and set the recommended Icq of 20 mA it seems to be enough with 5-10 mA to get the...- JDAPJ

PINT Problem
Your problem is probably due to oscillations. I have had those problems too, and for me the solution was to increase the caps at each op. 10uF standard electrolyte to the l/r amp and 1uF to the ground channel. Now let's not get into a debate about that this doesn't make any difference...- JDAPJ

Resistor or inductor at opamp output?
Hi! Just wanted to get ur opinion on this: When an opamp is hard to get stabilized, sometimes people use a resistor from the op:s output to the feedback resistor and then u connect the load between these two resistors. Allright... But then there is another way, using a inductor? Do...- JDAPJ

AD8397
Yes I've built a version on protoboard (with one side shielded). Working great with offsets of maximum 10mV. It has a typical "bipolar op" sound, warm and full with details. In my version I've used an active ground like PPA-style and that part btw does wonders for the sound, very important...- JDAPJ

Multiloop offset
Well I'm sorry for giving u a strange question but... What I was mostly interested in was if the setup with multiloop in a "3" channel amp with virtual ground has this effects. That's why I was referring to the "pimeta". I too have that info u are referring to but they do not discuss this...- JDAPJ

Multiloop offset
Hi! Sorry, but I have to ask about this: (This is regarding a pimeta-like setup) Does the choice in resistor values affect the output offset voltage? And, if it would be a large offset with the setup, would it be adviceable to just connect a trimpot to the output? (with output on the...- JDAPJ

Texas I charger circuits
Hi I wonder if anyone knows about TI:s charger circuit BQ2002e? If so, do u know if it's ok to use it in a charger for 16AAA cells, ie can it handle that big voltage? And finally...in their ev-kit there is a 10k resistor from input to the summing node at the LM317's output...what is that...- JDAPJ

importance regarding the size of power capacitors?
So..starting with apologize for my spelling and if this has been discussed a thousand times before.... Anyway...I have always been very impressed of the diffence in sound whenever I've "beefed" up the power supply with some large capacitors.. They give a steadier soundstage, steady bass and...- JDAPJ

Low battery indicator circuits
And...I would be really interested if u would take the time and explain it in detail..I'm sure there are more people than me interested in this.. Works great with a distinct turn-over between led's, which I prefer, it all depends on where u decide to let the "red" led lit doesn't it? (a third...- JDAPJ

Are all AAA battery holders crap?
Hi.. At least are the ones that I've looked at...OR am I too critical about their appearences? Those I've found has a pretty lousy fit so the (+) pole doesn't have contact over it's "whole" surface..guess it will add some bad resistance? However, can anyone of U nice people give me some...- JDAPJ
