Still have not found IEM < $300 satisfaction!!!
thanks for the reply kukkurovaca. Unfortunately I don’t have the iBasso anymore. I did try the EQ and found it to ”distort” at i thought a reasonable volume but I did not try a balanced cable with my es100. I definitely like the detail of the iBasso and fiio fa1 BA but again driving bass did not...- jaymann

Still have not found IEM < $300 satisfaction!!!
PaganDL thanks for the response. I have tried a few tips and I settled on the round plastic tips and actually bought spinfits. However I have not tried the flanged tips. It is not that I do not have bass it is that when i turn the volume up I can tell distortion goes up. I am not blasting the...- jaymann

Still have not found IEM < $300 satisfaction!!!
Looking for recommendation of IEM under 300 based on my saga below: After my Sure e4c decades ago I came back in 2019 and I went looking for IEMs and still having problems finding a good match. I started with iBasso IT01 then Fiio FA1 and liked the detail but need to have some bottom end and...- jaymann

Add slider to cable?
Yes I did a tie last night although I did not get it from a loaf of bread as megabigeye suggested :) but I just opened a KZ cable I had just got in the mail, it had a tie that was short and stiff and no pointed ends. I coil wrapped it a few times with the right tension and then the rest around...- jaymann

Add slider to cable?
Got some kanas pro but cable does not have a slider and I can’t get cable routing behind the ears. Has anyone added a slider to a cable? I tried a rubber band but did not last, zip tie was too tough to wound that tight... ideas?- jaymann

IEM for small ears
The e10bt size looks good but not sure about the battery pack that is a feature I have not seen in a BT design. I don’t think my teen would be cool with that. :/- jaymann

IEM for small ears
I am looking for a sub $50 IEM with Bluetooth for my daughter who has very small ears. She needs an IEM with good isolation so class mates can’t hear her music. Sound quality not as important to fit and bass. Thanks.- jaymann

Can you "blow" IEMs?
Hi I got some iBasso IT01 and had a similar occurrence. Specifically I have an Ear Studios ES100 and I accidentally pushed the volume all the way up (both digital and analog was max with 1x current) and pushed play. Completely distorted and was 5 seconds before I realized what was happening. Now...- jaymann

My Sextett Mini XLR Mod
Hey did my first mod and worked out great! Had a pair of MP/LP Sextetts that needed rewire and elastics. Ordered the parts below and used the current AKG K240 mini XLR left cover (mini XLR cable connector built right into the cover). Exact fit! Notes: 1. The left cover has the assembly screws...- jaymann

Denon AH-D2000 Screw Broken. Right cup fallen off! Help!
Hi jpmohler, Are you saying that the Hillman 491321 screw/nut is a substitute for the 7-4 screw in the assembly? I think my screw either strip or broke. If it is not a direct replacement, is this a workaround and if so do you have a pic or explain it a bit more for me? Thanks! Jay- jaymann

Need Custom IEM Recommendations
Hello I am new to the forum and I am looking for an entry level CIEM. I have a pair of Shure e4c that I do enjoy when I have a good seal although I want more bass extension and presence if I understand those terms correctly. Mainly I am turning to CIEM to get the perfect fit/seal every time. ...- jaymann
