Hey peeps, I have been gone for quite a bit, but I found the audio passion again. Now with in-ear monitors! Here's some pics I took of the Myer-Audio CK-D41, and a Gladiator Rubino Harmony cable:

26 is a velour pad with a lot more cushy filling, thus making the pad cushion rim have more area, which means the pad has a smaller hole in the middle for your ear. This is a problem for some people who have very large ears, but I can't speak for them, if it's actually uncomfortable or just a...

I just found out from a few sources that Sennheiser doesn't sell replacement parts for their gaming range of products. So while their Part Finder doesn't list pads or headband padding for the PC 350, you could ask them or a retailer about which model's headband padding fits the PC 350. Here is...

    Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset

As with all Sennheiser headphones/headsets, you'll be able to order replacement parts for your products. The pleather pads for the PC 350 shouldn't be too costly, I'm thinking twenty bucks or so. Do you know if any of your local audio stores sell Sennheiser products? You can ask them to order...

I feel sorry for you, because to me, it looks like bad luck. Me and my friend both got the PC 350 early on, I got them right at release, he got his a year later or so. We've driven our headsets with all kinds of amps, they see daily use, heavy use, all kinds of too-high-driven use with monstrous...

    Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset

Ah okay, got it. I'm not sure if we can actually test this. I mean, I've got all those pieces of music you mentioned, in FLAC, and I don't hear anything out of the question. But if you really do hear such sounds, maybe that is just you, or maybe it is the hardware. Plus, I don't exactly know the...

@Yatsuman   Hey man, a slight static eh? A good way to troubleshoot it would be to first try changing your volume levels.   Are you using the EQ on foobar? If you are, then have you zeroed it? Meaning, having it only lower the levels on some frequency ranges and having the highest frequency...

Sounds good, you will definitely get good mic sound from all those, it doesn't take much since the mic in the PC350 is so good. A headphone amp isn't a necessity for the PC350, but with the mod, they do improve a lot with a good desktop amp. Maybe hold off on buying an amp until you've had a...

Hi Yatsu, thanks for the video and glad you're enjoying this mod, I sure still am, after all these years.   The PC350 uses the HD595 drivers, so giving it some power will definitely get you better sound. Unfortunately your Z5500 is very lacking in the headphone amp area, like most bigger...

there is a replacement part for the headband, but if it's just the pleather that's worn and the foam beneath is okay, you can strip the pleather off and the foam itself works as a nice headband, I've had mine like that for a while now since my headband pleather got ripped.

Quote: Did you use a hot poker of sorts to do the mod, or a drill? I mean, could something like a bit of scrap from drilling have gone into the driver enclosure through the holes, and it's now rattling there, or could you have poked too deep, too close to the driver's glued rim, to cause a...

    Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset

Quote: I'm not sure, but perhaps it's possible that some damage has occured over time. I say this because my HD 650 are exhibiting the exact same "tiny window rattle"-effect in their right-ear side, I think they've had too much bass, too often, and they're just damaged. But they're also...
