Best Smartphone for audiophile
I have been following this thread as I'm in the market for a new phone. There is a lot of speculation that the ZTE Axon 7 Mini has better audio than the full sized Axon 7. Can anyone confirm for sure that has heard them both? The Mini is easier to get in Canada, but I'm not sure about the build...- igbee

Alcatel (TCL) One Touch Idol X+ Android phone
Sorry, I missed your post. I'm still enjoying the phone and listen to music on it every day. I've been using it with Poweramp lately because it works with the phone's "HiFi" setting. I think high res is downsampled though. This phone (the one with MicroSD) is still available in Canada for...- igbee

Alcatel (TCL) One Touch Idol X+ Android phone
I have spent any time with any of those phones mentioned and really haven't used Android much either. With the processor the UI is very snappy. I don't think Alcatel added much to Android compared to Samsung (I have a Galaxy Tab 3 and it feels bloated with extras). It has a 2500mh battery and I...- igbee

Alcatel (TCL) One Touch Idol X+ Android phone
I was looking for a new phone and didn't want to spend big bucks on flagship Android models from HTC, Samsung, LG, etc. or the latest Iphone. I found some info about this Alcatel (made by TCL in China) phone in a different thread, which indicated it uses a ES9018 dac and Maxim9720 headphone...- igbee

Question about MEElectronics A161P In Ear Monitors' Analytical sound
I got the A161P IEMs on the cyber monday promotion and have just started to use them at work - just with a desktop computer. I have heard these IEMs described as "detailed" or "analytical" but it seems to totally alter music i know very well. I've tried MP3s all the way up to DSD files. Do I...- igbee

Dangerous Music Source DAC
Does anyone know if you can get a line level output from the XLRs? Ideally I would run my XLR out to a balanced recording device and the unbalanced to my bryston Amp.- igbee

That's cool. I know of Voyage MPD but didn't know they made it for the Arm platform. I wonder if it would work with any of the Android TV sticks that run linux. http://www.geekbuying.com/item/MK808-Dual-Core-Android-4-1-Jelly-Bean-TV-BOX-Rockchip-RK3066-Cortex-A9-Mini-PC-stick-307415.html...- igbee
