    for HD650: Gilmore vs Home-Vibe vs Rega Ear

    I have HD650 with Rega Ear and i love this combo. Very smooth with good punch in tha bass area. My bottleneck now is the Audigy2 soundcard.

    I said it to the person over The Rega Ear was actually ment for the higher end Senns wasn't it? I'm really looking forward to have it in my room. I will report back on what I think of it.

    I'm happy to hear that you like the Rega Ear HD650 combo The Ear is on its way now. If i'm not happy with it i'd just upgrade the source. Luckily a friend of mine has a EMU0404 card. I don't really hear that much difference from A2 and EMU (when used with no amp) Only that the A2 can play...

    Hello! I have HD650 driven directly from my soundcard (Audigy2). My Rega Ear is on its way. I wonder, is the gain on Rega too high for the HD650? Will i earn much if i invest in an E-MU card? I really love the sound now directly from Audigy2. Will the Rega add much for the sound?

    Safe stores to buy amp.

    Hello. I am thinking about buying an amp, a friend of mine also. We live in Norway so it isnt a lot of amp available here, only Rega Ear and Project Headbox. So, we have to buy from the net and pay before they will ship it. So it can be a risk. Is Headsave.com, Meier-Audio etc. safe?

    I've read many places here that the Rega Ear i a good match with the HD580, 600 and 650 of the Senns. The Rega Ear was built for them.

    So, the Emu 0404 card is better than that CD-Player from Cambridge? I'd really want a CD-player, so I can use my A2 for games. Is it a huge difference from Emu and that CD-player?

    Yes, I know. I was thinking about E-MU0404 as source. Maybe Rega Ear as amp, since I've heard they match great with the Senn HD580/600/650 family.

    Ok, that doesn't sound too difficult. When you put in the new cable, it will sit tight? Not going to fall out, if you aren't very careful all the time.
