    Audioengine 5 Subwoofer

I recently purchased a set of audioengine a5's, and while they sound incredible, a subwoofer is needed to enhance the low-end. With a budget of $150, I am looking at these 2 subwoofers in particular: tSc ASW-10 Dayton ES8 (Engineered by HSU) Which one is the better bet? Anyone have one of...

    Swans To Subwoofer

How would I connect my D1080's to a Dayton ES8 Sub? A 3.5MM to RCA plug into the sub input + 2 RCA Plug from sub output to master speaker input? Could I connect a dvd player's rca audio to the sub-in as well?

    Swans D1080 Problem

Case Closed. Parts Express offered to switch them out for a new set. What's the chance that this set will be defective as well. In the manual, HiVi claims a .8% defective rate on their speakers, but from what i've read, their seem to be a lot of problems with them. Would a M-Audio AV40 be a...

    Swans D1080 Problem

Hi, I just received the Swan D1080 set (after much research), and while they look and sound beautiful, for some reason they stop emitting sound (a sudden clip) at random times and I have to turn off the unit and turn it back on. This was happening when I was using the equalizer setting in...

Sorry, the title of this thread should be for active speakers, I don't believe any of these can serve as monitors at the price point.

    Active Monitors <$200

Hi, I was looking to purchase a new speaker set to replace my muddy Logitech 2300's. As the title indicates, my budget is under $200. I am not expecting anything amazing, but functional in many areas for the price, and certainly better than the 2300. Here's what I have in mind so far...
