  Well, I can run this as an experiment. B&O are replacing my old H9 (which developed a fault) with a new pair. So if the new pair sounds bass-heavy to me, I'll know that burning in would have done *something* to the sound signature (and it's not just me adjusting my expectations over time).

Give it a bit of time. The overpowering bass was my initial impression too, but it became less prominent with time. "Burning in", I guess.

My H9 died on me. Not a battery issue. Just wouldn't power on. Sent it back to B&O and they've identified that it's a defective unit and are sending a replacement (brand new as opposed to refurbished). Pretty quick turnaround. Great service.

I'm in the UK. Paperchase does loads of these. You can get a unicorn one too if you want  

Had a brainwave.   Despite the sticker which was applied on the wheel when I bought the QP1R, the wheel still slips very often. I'm guessing it's probably not as bad as without the sticker, but definitely not ideal. I bought some puffy stickers for my kid this morning and decided to take one...

Hey FenderP, why don't you get the H6v2? They're cheaper and they sound really good from what I hear. Or is there something else about the H9s that interests you (about from bluetooth).

I did. Completely agree that it will sound different for different people, so best try a pair yourself.What I would say is definitely gone in the H9 compared to the H8 is the really annoying metallic clinking sound you used to get with the H8 whenever you're walking about. Don't know if that's...

By it's pure physical design alone, the isolation in H9 is better than in H8 (I have both - got the H9 last week in store a day after I got the email announcing the H9) because it's over the ear. But I think the ANC employed is slightly different as well, so whilst it's also slightly 'stronger'...

Is there a changelog somewhere that tells us what has changed / is new in FW 2 and FW 3? I'm still (still!) on 1.x

Yes, I got it last week. I wrote some quick impressions which I'll quote below. One other thing to mention is that when using an iPhone as the source and walking around, i find that the volume is usually at the max level. In a quieter environment (at night at home) then I don't find it necessary...

Another thing I've noticed as a difference between the H8 and the H9. With the H8, if you're walking about with the ANC on, you'll hear a very strange clinking sound with every footstep. No such issue with the H9 (finally!).
