probably best to ask Audeze.. Are you in a country with decent consumer rights? If not I suspect you’ll just be given the opportunity to purchase a refurb set for ~$100 by Audeze.

Agreed. It’s kind of crazy how many updates were discussed only for the last/final firmware to come out only 12 months after launch, and then the product to be completely abandoned 12 months after that. I don’t have any scientific methodology for this but from my usage last night it did seem that I had a lot more control over the volume in the range I would normally use it at, which backs up the more steps theory.

Given what happened to everyone that tried to install the last firmware via Android it's probably just as well there wasn't an option for those of us with iOS mobile devices to try to upgrade that way.

I can understand wanting to add voice notifications for changing settings, but i'd definitely prefer just a subtle beep for things like "CONNECTED" when wandering in and out of range.

So I love my Penrose, but it still has some usability issues that I have worked around (range, controls, windows volume integration), and with us now in March and only having had one firmware update I am losing faith that these will be addressed to make the headphones as good as they should be...
