    Shanling M2s Hi-Res DAP with AK4490 + MUSE8920, Bluetooth, & USB Out

in other words, if after all I end up with M2S, then I should stick with M2S's UI right? I've been using Rockbox with my current DAP Sansa Clip zip, and I'm not really happy with it. I don't know how to quickly add songs to playlist, how to create/edit playlists....

I just asked Sena themselves and they said I can connect SMH05 to both my phone and the DAP to achieve what I said earlier :D

Setting Up An ABX Test + Simple Guide to Ripping, Tagging & Transcoding

16/16 means you can completely differentiate between 2 samples right? Since most of my flac files are only 16/44.1, and they don't even have high bit rate (just 300-1000 kbps), should I start from 320 kbps to lower and lower quality, or the other way round? VBR vs CBR please? Thanks

    Shanling M2s Hi-Res DAP with AK4490 + MUSE8920, Bluetooth, & USB Out

So if a DAP say it has aptX BT, usually its only one way, i.e. transmitting from the DAP to, for eg, a wireless headphone. Only when it says 2 way aptX BT then both receiving and transmitting haev aptX tech right?

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/shanling-m3s-dual-ak4490-dac-2-5-balanced-out-aptx-bt-hiby-link-usb-out.859241/ TBH I'm still too noob to understand what aptX and both ways mean. Please check the info from the thread link above. If you have some free time, please help explaining the terms and...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

sorry for digging this up. I'm about to purchase the pelican 1042 foam set too. From the reviews I've read on Amazon, the cubes thickness = the foam set thickness, i.e. our items will actually touch the rubber tray surface. Is this the case for you too? Thanks

    The Audio Lounge

Thanks a lot for your reply. I will be using Harmony 8.2, which has a more warm and organic tuning, together with Ares II, which provides some air and cleanliness. I'm currently using Sansa Clip Zip with Rockbox, and I'm not actually very happy with it since I really dont know how to can...

Hi there, I can't decide between cayin N3 vs Shanling M2S, and there's even M3S coming out on top of that. I will only use the DAP to pair with IEMs/CIEMs only btw. Could you provide some thoughts? Thanks a lot

    Shanling M2s Hi-Res DAP with AK4490 + MUSE8920, Bluetooth, & USB Out

Thanks a lot for your advice. I figure I should give more info for you guys in order to help myself better. My situation now is that I have a Harmony 8.2 coming in 2 months and I'm using a Sansa Clip Zip with Rockbox. I figure the lady of Winterfell (IYKWIM) won't be a good match for the TOTL...

    Shanling M2s Hi-Res DAP with AK4490 + MUSE8920, Bluetooth, & USB Out

The reason why I asked that is because a review wrote this section: "The OS of the M5 is super stable and whilst not touch sensitive or as innovative as Android it is actually fairly speedy and efficient. I do hope though the M5 will be the last of the non-touch capable DAPs from Shanling. With...
