I have used a variety of amps, and found the Magni 3 to an accurate amp. That is what I value the most. Amps that have a "sound" to them are to me amps that change the sound like an nonadjustable EQ device. I don't like that.

I have, Clear and Utopia pads. Both made them worse.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Flows, open or closed, is how they use different pads that allows tuning them to individual taste. Throw in the 1.1 upgrade kit and you can make these sound just the way you want them to sound. Nice!

I agree! The reason for my post was I got a little miffed for being called a weirdo because I was using a THX 789 with a Yggy. I absolutely love the THX, in fact I have two of them. It is an awesome amplifier and is likely gonna keep me very happy for quite a while.

I run my Yggy into my THX! Even more shocking is I LOVE THE WAY IT SOUNDS!! The Yggy is a very good DAC, the THX is a very good amp. Done. :ksc75smile:

I am wary of comparisons, this is where it is all opinion, personal preference and sound chain. However, since you asked again.... Sound chain. Roon > Yggy A2 (latest rev) > Loki > THX 789 When using the Utopias I give 'em a pinch of EQ in the upper bands. Just a bit to help bring more...

LOL.....I love my SEs! Great frequency response through the highs, pounding bass when called upon. (Hope that helps.)

I give my Utopias a touch of high EQ with a Loki. Makes 'em a little better, no loss of detail whatsoever.

I used the Roon EQ briefly, found it awkward and cumbersome to use. The Loki sits on my amp and I simply adjust it as I wish while I'm listening, or switch in it or out of circuit, simple. For me, a wealth of functionality is of no use if the interface is awkward. i have two Lokis and use them...

Got mine in October and so far no creaking either flexing them around or wearing. Now that I said that......

Reading this just cost me $2000. When will I learn.......
