I thought this was a great event! Very well organized. I greatly enjoyed the talks by Dekoni and ZMF. This is my rough, quick hand ranking of my personal preference of the headphones I listened to at CANJAM NYC 2024. I could see this ranking change some if I was listening to each of them...

The V-Moda BoomPro is compatible with the AKG 712, 702, and Q701 with an adapter.  I think they should be added to the list of mics compatible with the V-Moda BoomPro.

I don't know if you mentioned it early, but have you tried the v-moda Mic?

People sell their gear at the jam or just exhibitors?

Yeah. For a lot of people it's fine. Some find it more comfortable than other headbands. However, for me I probably would have returned them If I didn't buy a pad.

No virtual sound is a killer. I think I'm just going to save up for the x7.

Is there anything that could compare to this in a lower price range. I currently use my a40 mix amp. I'm willing to upgrade, but I was wondering if there was anything comparable to this but less expensive.

I really like these headphones. Would they be wasted on gaming? How is their soundstage?

I could never cut my headphones like that, but I understand why you did. I went with getting a pad off Amazon to cover the bumps. Worked out well for me. However, I don't know if it would have worked for op. The padding is a little thicker than I wanted, and if you are worried about head size it...
