Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Next Bandcamp Friday is coming up this week (Friday 2nd May). As most on here already know, Bandcamp waive their share of the purchase price on that day to help artists receive a higher amount of the revenue from their work. My list for Friday is getting out of hand ....... looking at you...- GreyOldMan

Not knowing where in the Peak District you are, it may be a bit of a run to get to Holmfirth, but it should be worth it. Don't go to Holmfirth for the "Last of the Summer Wine" tourist industry unless that appeals, but just outside Holmfirth are these guys, I K Classics, where your MG will feel...- GreyOldMan

Thank you ORT, it's wonderful to be reminded of "Bored Of The Rings". After a late child and teen-hood steeped in all things Lord of the Rings, I pounced on Bored Of The Rings with glee and enjoyed it's irreverence so much that while reading it prone on the bed in the student dorm, I laughed...- GreyOldMan

And to chip into the expanded musical horizons, after a time spent exploring Porcupine Tree, I've had a soothing evening with this crowd. What Are You Listening To Right Now?
The Sixteen (UK choral group specialising in Renaissance and polyphony) with their first (of nine) volume of music by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1592). Once I've listened to the beauty and peace of Palestrina, I may well check out the Jeff Beck link for some excitement.- GreyOldMan

A partial YMMV post as you are comparing the Yggdrasil OG with the Bifrost 2/64, whereas I am not able to. Apologies for the scattergun approach but there are a number of topics touched by this posting. Some are even on the sine-wave! 1 Background. My original system was Mac Mini->Bifrost...- GreyOldMan

Slight design issue - during thunderstorms, the build up of static on the perspex cover was sufficient to lift the arm from the LP. I've never owned one, but my friend in the next room at uni had one. Lovely piece of engineering.- GreyOldMan

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
As we are commemorating Remembrance Day, I'm listening to a couple of quiet, thoughtful tracks by Scottish artist Kat Healy. They are "Be Still, Gentle and Kind" and "Beautiful Peace" from her EP "Wolf". YouTube links, with inevitable ads, below. Be Still, Gentle and Kind: Beautiful Peace- GreyOldMan

Another smile from the “Get Forked” chapter - Martin’s circuit board is labelled CraapRemote, and knowing his attention to detail, I assume the font will be correct too. :relieved:- GreyOldMan

Well, what came through the Forkbeard chapter for me was the sheer exhilaration that Jason channeled into his writing as he could finally let us all know how he, thanks to Martin’s idea, could solve so many business problems and provide him and his employees and partners with a very different...- GreyOldMan

Another super weird fact about 4711. Those amongst us with proctologist friends will know from them chatting about their days in the office that haemorrhoids are known in the trade as presenting 4711, using clock face notation. Well, this is the Schiit thread.- GreyOldMan
