Sorry to do this, but due to personal circumstances I have had to cancel the Brighton mini meet. Thanks everyone who has shown an interest. I was really looking forward to it! I will pm everyone who said they were coming presently. G- gregvet

Local meet in Brighton UK.
The date is set for the 4th August from 5pm onwards. Room booked etc. I intend to PM everyone who has displayed any interest in the month before the event to get some idea about numbers. I need to know roughly how many plug sockets will be needed apart from anything else!- gregvet

IPAD with Udac
This is very interesting. I will be interested to see if others have success with this setup too. I wasn't planning on getting an iPad but that may have changed with your post!- gregvet

Local meet in Brighton UK.
Well I hope so. We will be out of the way from the main bar area so shouldn't be too much disturbance. If the event gets big enough (hard to judge numbers at the moment!) then we can spread into another room too with its own bar (which is normally closed in the week). Lets see how it goes!- gregvet

Local meet in Brighton UK.
Only update of any interest today is that Ampcity may be lending an Audio GD DAC or two for the meet. They have also suggested possible coming down themselves to say hello, which would be great! So should be some toys to play with anyway for those who can make it.- gregvet

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.
Just to update on the Hlly order situation detailed earlier in the thread, I have patiently waited for the new version for the two weeks I was advised. Nothing. Emailed last night to find out how long, the reply says another two weeks :-( I have responded let's see what happens next. I see a...- gregvet

Cheaper variant to Sennheiser HD 25-1 II ?
There is a cheaper version of the HD25-1ii (the HD25 SPii) which as far as I can tell does not sound quite as good and is not quite as indestructable, but should suit your needs fine. Link to a UK site here: http://www.iheadphones.co.uk/headphones/23550/Sennheiser+HD25+SP+ii.htm ...- gregvet

Depends on what amp you have currently. No point getting the AKG's if you are running your current cans from your iPod (or similar) FWIR! I currently have the Denons and am looking at the AKGs too. Looks like they complement each other quite nicely.- gregvet

Reccomendations for dance/indie/pop music?
My current system consists of Beresford Caiman DAC (lossless files fed from iMac) and Denon D2000. I am awaiting the Matrix M-Stage amp which should open up my world to most phones, as is supposed to be pretty powerful and able to drive most phones effectively. My music taste is primarily...- gregvet

Audio GD DAC 19DSP Vs Benchmark/Lavry/Beresford/DM
I am interested in getting a better DAC than my current Beresford Caiman. There is nothing wrong with it, but I need a DAC for my speaker system so thought it would be an ideal opportunity to get a better DAC and make some comparisons. My headamp will soon be the Matrix Audio M-Stage headamp...- gregvet
