SHURE SRH750DJ
I think they're amazing too. The bass is the best part. What kind of music are you interested in?- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
It's not really a static sound that I hear, its just like cracking in the bass as if something was touching the driver. It was at Sam Ash but I didn't have to prove anything, he was still happy to exchange them for a new pair, which are now on order.- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
Yeah, my iPod. He said it was probably just the song, but I didn't have any other songs that yield the same results. I wish I could've played him the FLAC file on my computer though, that would've convinced him.- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
I returned them today, but the guy there couldn't hear the crackle, he just thought I was referring to the drums using brushes on the snare, which I apparently thought was static even though I constantly told him to listen to the first note of the upright bass. The weirdest thing happened...- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
Ok, I just listened to it in FLAC and there was still the crackle, so I am definitely returning them...- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
Yeah, I have some PortaPro's but they make the same noise, they have problems of their own anyways so they're not really a good control. I'll just take them back and let them listen and see what they say.- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
I thought buying the display model wasn't a good idea either but the guy there was like "Don't worry about it, they'll be fine." I'll take them back and play them the song off my ipod and see what they say, I can return them no matter what, it'd be nice if it was just a driver problem though.- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
Yeah they were the display model at my local sam ash, so they could've been misused. It's a good thing I got the display model though or I would have a restocking charge to return them. I'm also getting the same sound in my Koss PortaPro's but I've had those for a while and it's possible I could...- Grasberger

Crackle when bass hits
So I just picked up the Shure 750DJ's and I was listening to a song that came with Windows 7, Sleep Away by Bob Acri http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6PHgtdxFrY Every time the bass hits, especially on the first note in the whole song, I get a crackling noise, I can still return the headphones but...- Grasberger

My new Portable Headphone....
I think the red ones look way cooler than blue... I'm quite disappointed in my PortaPros, I treat them pretty nicely but they've developed a buzz in the lower frequencies that is really annoying. I'm planning to buy a pair of Shure SRH750DJ's soon though so it's not a big deal. It's really...- Grasberger

Shure 750DJ vs. Sennheiser HD280 Pro
Thanks! I think I'll definitely be picking up the 750DJ's and if anything isn't right then I can always return them. That's disappointing about the isolation too... I'll live though.- Grasberger

Shure 750DJ vs. Sennheiser HD280 Pro
Can anyone help me out here? I'm stuck between the Shure 750DJ's and the Sennheiser HD280 Pro. The 750DJ's have better specs but the HD280's are better respected. I'm definitely looking for a lot of bass for stuff like dubstep but I do need decent mids and highs because I'll be listening to...- Grasberger
