Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements
I caved and ordered the MG pro yesterday, because my previous "dream upgrade", the DT 1990 just wasn't enough yet. Glad to read here again, that the MG and MG Pro are the same headphones with different paint, that Major Hifi review confused me. There is one problem I have with the new MG series...- golem09

K701 thread
Hi guys, got nowhere to turn to and not really that much time on my hands to do hours of google investigations: Is there a common mod to make the K701 more comfortable? Maybe an additional accessory or something like that. Would be cool, because that little bump in the middle seriously sucks.- golem09

Pretty good soundcard for DX1000 or D5000
bought the corda, bought the terratec (Terratec IS rather cheap because it isn't produced anymore and can do about NOTHING besides giving out stereo) But it can give out stereo in 96/24, something the Corda DAC can't do. That was my main reason to buy the card. I'll compare both once I have them.- golem09

Pretty good soundcard for DX1000 or D5000
I plan to buy a Terratex EWX 24/96 to accompany my Corda Cantate. Pretty cheap solution until I get something better.- golem09

Pretty good soundcard for DX1000 or D5000
I'm thinking about buying the Corda Cantate and use it with the in built USB DAC. A real DAC could follow later. Then I'd try some headphones wit it.- golem09

Pretty good soundcard for DX1000 or D5000
How would I stop the noise to meddle with the soundcard? Get an external one? All in all I aim to pay roughly the same amount of money on the amp+soundcard(DAC) as I'll pay for the headphones. That's about 500-600€ (The JVC are just 500€ over here in germany, that's where this price comes...- golem09

Pretty good soundcard for DX1000 or D5000
As the title say, I'm searching for the right soundcard to use either the JVC-DX1000 or the Denon D5000 on them. And amp will follow, so first I need some good music source. I intend to use my headphones mainly on my PC, and so of course the soundcard mainly for the headphones. Are there any...- golem09

Denon D5000 or JVC HP-DX1000 ?
How is the DX-1000 for electronic music? Enough bass, or just precision? And what would you guys think about powering either of these two phones with a Yamaha surround receiver (RX-V750)? Or do I need a special headphone amp. I mean in that price range there's no going back, so whatever, if...- golem09

How To Build One Of The World's Finest Dynamic Headphones (markl Denon AH-D5000 Mods)
This mod is WAY too hard for me to pull off. So markl, after disliking the stocked D5000, what would you see as the direct alternative to the modded ones? (Leave the Sony R10 aside, and stay in the price range )- golem09

Denon D5000 or JVC HP-DX1000 ?
Damn, reading in this forum always make me want to buy new headphones... So yeah at the moment I'm using my Sennheiser HD 485 so I think there definitely IS room for improvement I checked both headphones and it seems I can get both for 560-570€ here in germany, so the price is NO argument...- golem09
