Advice, Please
Hello, I like to listen to my headphones directly from my CD player, using a headphone amp, connected by RCA cables. I would like to upgrade, using an optical cable from my player to a DAC. then connect the DAC to the headphone amp. Does this sound like a good setup? I am a little confused...- freddycycle

Advice Please
I hope someone can give me some advice. I own a pair of AKG 702's and am really enjoying the sound. I don't have a lot of dough to throw around, but am satisfied with the results using a NAD c515bee CD player, with a Firestone Cute Beyond headphone amp. I have replaced the Op amps with OPA...- freddycycle

Should I get a DAC?
Hey, I'm using a NAD CD player-515BEE with a Firestone Cute Beyond amp. I'm contemplating getting a Firestone Spitfire DAC. My question is: NAD provides no details about the OP AMPs or DAC inside the 515BEE. Should I assume that those components in the Spitfire are of better quality? -Thanks- freddycycle

Op-Amps
Well, I'll be sure to stick to either of those OP AMP's, since Firestone Audio recommends both. It's a relatively inexpensive way of improving the sound.- freddycycle

Hey, I have a question about Op Amps. I have a pair of AKG-k702 headphones and am using a Cute Beyond headphone amp with my NAD CD player. Ya Ya I know, the Cute may not be the top of the line, but it's all I can afford, and my AKG's sound pretty good with it. My question is this: I was...- freddycycle

Music Quality
Thanks for the replies. I guess, in the case of the laptop, through the USB with a DAC is better than out of the soundcard. In the case of the CD player, what is the most important feature that can make one player superior to another?- freddycycle

A question. Which is the better source of headphone music? An average CD player, or mp3 through my laptop? Thanks- freddycycle

Monster question
Hey, I'd like to run 10-12 ft of RCA Audio cable from my receiver to my headphone amp. I see lots of good prices on Monster Cable on eBay, but am confused by the different types. Any suggestions? Thanks- freddycycle
