Pioneer's First Hi-End Headphones: SE-Master 1
Good to know about the ZMF Auteur pads. I'm perfectly happy with a silver copper cable I bought via eBay from China for $26.00. The sound is just as good as the factory cable, which I found far too long and heavy.- fogwall

So, a bit problematic with the initial attempt to fit the new pads then. Would have been interesting watching a video of the whole procedure. But your pictures are nice too... :) Just wondering how Air Studios would feel about the altering of sound as a result, as they designed it with the...- fogwall

I found the stock pads of my TH900 too shallow. I replaced them with Dekoni hybrids, which offer more room. I therefore doubt that the TH900 stock pads can compete with the SEM1 stock pads what regards comfort.- fogwall

Pioneer's First Hi-End Headphones: SE-Master 1
I'm glad to finally re-join this club of lucky SEM1 users as I found another one recently (s/n 200+) barely used for a nice price. Although it came with both stock cable and balanced cable, I very much prefer a shorter one with a 3.5mm plug - ordered, on its way from China to Europe. So, what...- fogwall

In my opinion the SEM1 does not need any EQ at all. I think it depends on what sound you are looking for. I'm perfectly happy with what it does. I once did an extensive A/B testing with my Sennheiser HD800S. Quite a different beast, offering an openness and clarity which very few headphones can...- fogwall

That's amazing. I have these ear pads (the hybrid) on my TH900. Exactly how did you do it? A step-by-step description would be useful. Pictures even better.- fogwall

Apparently, Vesper Audio is based in Belarus. That will make it extremely difficult nowadays, taking into account the new economic sanctions.- fogwall

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
This seems to be a very similar issue to the one I reported just a few pages back in this thread. The device needs to be charged properly from an outlet. Then, when fully charged, the battery should last for several hours. The battery indicator of QP1R does not work properly. When it says 90%...- fogwall

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I haven't measured but I found them a bit too shallow for my taste. I replaced the pads with the Dekoni sheepskin which have more room.- fogwall

Thanks. The Questyle is a great companion with its crisp detail. SEM1 delivers as usual. The PFR-V1 works great with vocal recordings thanks to incredible three-dimensional rendering.- fogwall
