Audio-Technica ATH-A900X: Impressions, Reviews, Mods, etc.
Here is a picture: It might be a bit hard to see but there's a foam layer between the pleather and the fabric screen. If you remove the pads first it's very easy to insert. It's very easy to remove from the Hifiman pleather pads too. I wonder why there is no such thing in the velour...- fizban007

Audio-Technica ATH-A900X: Impressions, Reviews, Mods, etc.
Because my 5-year old Shure SRH840 broken the other day, I recently bought the A900X to replace it for office use. My first impression is that it has better soundstage and deeper punch than my 840 while having comparable mids (which I bought them both for). However I really don't like the pads...- fizban007

Fostex TE-05 Japanese Price, Release Date Announced
Just placed an order on Rakuten.co.jp. The list price was 14,076 yen, but somehow they only charged me for 12,767 yen, and that's just about $150 including the 2500yen shipping to US. Did I get a deal or something?- fizban007

Help req'd with HE-500 stock silver cable grievances
Hi Terja how did you thread the 1/8'' techflex past the TRS jack? I was in the same situation as OP and bought about 20ft of 1/8'' techflex, but found myself struggling for quite some time but still couldn't squeeze the sleeves past either the jack or the headphone connection (the part that...- fizban007

Looking for an amp for my SRH840
Hi, This is my first post here at Head-fi, although I've been looking around here for headphone advices for a couple of years. Because of the reviews here, I bought a Shure SRH840 last year along with a uDac which connects to my laptop. I still like the sound of SRH840 and have not...- fizban007
