Frankenspiel FS-1 portable desktop speakers. A2's killers?
They don't look anywhere close to as sexy as my A2s. But then again my pair of black A2s were slightly overpriced ($210) and their sound is subpar. They had mufled highs which lacked extension. The mids are smooth and forward, but they also lack bass. Bass is good for such a small sized...- febtiger

Home-Made IEMs
Looks to be a very awesome project. I'm waiting for more updates. And I'm gonna refuse to buy the expensive custom IEM I was looking at last month. Those 22955s are only $20???????? Mind blown- febtiger

Bose Triports over ears????
My advice would be to toss them and get a real pair of headphones. Don't bother changing the drivers in the headphones; it will be more of a hassle than you would think. Drivers aren't modular or exchangable between headphones, and why would you keep the bose housings anyways? They're cheap...- febtiger

AD700 vs. DT770 or any $150 or less headphone
Sorry, but my budget is solidly capped at $150 and I can't find ANY models of the DT770 (including the 250ohm, older ones, the newer 32ohm) that are below $190. Please help me decide on a good can $150 or below. Thanks- febtiger

AD700 vs. DT770 or any $150 or less headphone
Anybody have a suggestion before I jump the gun on AD700s? Is there anything with AD700 highs but with M50 bass? Btw on my HD555, bass is loose sloppy, and sometimes distorted on higher volumes. Also lacks some quantity. Just to put it out there. But they are very comfortable (but...- febtiger

AD700 vs. DT770 or any $150 or less headphone
So basically: Unamped I should instead get the AD700 (although there is less bass) and amped I should get the DT770s. Are the DT770s more comfortable? And what budget amp should I use with them? Sorry, i'm not experienced with headphone amplifiers as the only one I have is...- febtiger

AD700 vs. DT770 or any $150 or less headphone
Hello again. Sorry I'm asking for so much help on deciding but now that I have ordered some HD25-IIs (read many of the great reviews here), I would also like to add another full-sized can to my collection. This time I am looking for a headphone with: Tight, punchy bass (no boomy/muddy...- febtiger

can't decide which to get: Bowers & Wilkins P5, Audio Technica ATHESW9A, Beyerdynamic T50p, Sennheiser HD25-1 II
EDIT: sorry, didn't read carefully. Creative Aurvana Live are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried on. I don't own them but I do enjoy their sound, which is not the most neutral but is slightly darker.- febtiger

Portable headphones $100-$200
I'm looking a pair of cans that are portable, look nice, sound decent, and won't break easily. Somewhere between $100-$200 but the higher price to performance ratio, the better. But since all my friends have Beats (which I utterly hate for its huge unreasonable unjustified price tag...- febtiger

Best IEM's for 0-$70
Brainwavz M2. $60, great warm dark sound, detailed awesome bass, smooth mids, highs slightly lack "sparkle" or extension but are in no way harsh. Deal doesn't get better than that, in my opinion. Huge upgrade from the Klipsch S4s.- febtiger

Sennheiser HD555/595 vs ATH A(D)700
Quote: One more question before I pull the trigger on the Ad-700s How hard do they clamp on the ears or head compared to the 555s?- febtiger

Vmoda Crossfade LP or Beats by Dre Pro?
sticking directly to OP I would choose the Beats because of their active noise cancelling capabilities, stunning looks, and comfortable pads (compared to the Vmoda). Their sound is similar- screechy and unclear highs, terribly recessed mids, bloated, messy, muddy, exaggerated lows.- febtiger
