no but ill check them out now.  nice to see that it has a coiled cable, prefer that over the flimsy wire type.

open just means open just means no solid backing on the headphones, so the sound leaks out and anyone close by would hear it.  advantages are a wider sound stage, and easier on the ears.  these usually have less bass though.

i wouldnt recommend the hd439.  i got it recently based off some positive reviews, and besides nice bass thumping, the overall sound is below average.

looking for the same thing myself, but getting the feeling none exist in this price range.   might have to double the budget.

basically looking for the best i can get for under 100usd.   tried the consumer sony 7506, felt the sound was too congested with no clarity at any range.    also tried sennheiser hd-439, the sound was more open than the sony, but everything felt "veiled"   what are better than these?
