New to the headphone world
open just means open just means no solid backing on the headphones, so the sound leaks out and anyone close by would hear it. advantages are a wider sound stage, and easier on the ears. these usually have less bass though.- everclear

Best headphones under 50 euros
i wouldnt recommend the hd439. i got it recently based off some positive reviews, and besides nice bass thumping, the overall sound is below average.- everclear

iso recommendation for cheap closed back
basically looking for the best i can get for under 100usd. tried the consumer sony 7506, felt the sound was too congested with no clarity at any range. also tried sennheiser hd-439, the sound was more open than the sony, but everything felt "veiled" what are better than these?- everclear

agree with lnuneek in using a cheaper set for work stuff. sweat for 6 days/ week into them and also need them to smell nice? basically, thats asking for too much isnt it? what id do is remove everything that's fabric-based and replace with aftermarket. if the smells are also entrenched in...- everclear
