Singxer SU-1 Owners
Go with a good quality 5VDC power supply capable to deliver more than 1.5A of current. DC input plug either 2.1 or 2.5mm will work, but 2.1mm is more common in DC cable selections. If you are comfortable with changing surface mount devices, replacing the stock 3.3VDC regulator can yield...- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
Glad all worked out. Enjoy. In my system, I find EC7/DSD256 a step up from DSD128, now you can compare as well.- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
With i9-9900K you should be able to upsample to EC7/DSD256 with no issue, and I have seen many do it with i9700K. Have you try setting "Multicore" to "Auto"? Another thing to check is using the Intel's Turbo Boost. In the BIOS, make sure to set turbo to "on". With i9-9900K, I see users...- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
I ran DSD512 non-2s filters for a long time until the new EC modulators came out. My new preference is DSD256 with ASDM7EC. Give it a try, hopefully your computer will do it without stutters.- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
Sounds like a good plan...meanwhile, keep the music file running without turning on the amp while you are doing the warm up. A nice way to get the DAC go through the burn-in process.- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
Can you try removing Adaptive output rate and change the Bit rate to 44.1K x 512, and see if that work? Great...but you should be able to just save the setting by clicking "OK" icon without exit HQP. Anyway, if that works, enjoy the new DAC.- elan120

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
You may still have issue upsample to DSD1024 by connecting it to USB port if your computer is not powerful enough, but at least you will hear the dropouts rather than silent.- elan120

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
If it was 1.536MHz sampling rate you were asking, then yes, Terminator can handle it quite well, the dropouts you referred to normally is caused by a less powerful computer.- elan120
