Ouch sorry to hear that, speedy recovery brother and for the Mest mkII, you'll have another chance to grab em. Yeah Sony IEMs are strong line ups and I do have several with me and their big name is proofed. 3D terminator is also "M" just written 90 degrees clockwise :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:- DynamicEars

Unique Melody IEM discussion thread(MEST, MEXT, Mentor, Mason, etc.)
I read your post about MV1 too as I have the MV1 too. Just sharing because we do have Z1R, the Mest is great complimentary for Z1R, as Z1R is more musical, bass connoisseur, fun grande IEMs, perhaps a clean, highly technical with precise imaging will be nice? I have Mest too and tey compliment...- DynamicEars

Oh quoted this bazillion pages back The Sonion BCD unit doesn't rumble or vibrate, they just firing the sonic through your bone, so you will need an opening on your shell for the the BCD opening to be placed on your concha. The NX7 mod? Remember this? 😂 Yeah the M17 is about power while...- DynamicEars

Went back home and got flu, so I didn't open this...- DynamicEars

Yeah overshadowed by lot of great midfi release, during Pilgrim era few months back. Hype4, Davinci, tri i3 mk3, etc. They just gone too fast. The Cadenza 4 and Tri i3 mk3 deserve more love. The i3 mk3 have great treble extension while Cadenza 4 have nothing stand out, they are jack of the...- DynamicEars

Cadenza 4 is one of the very underrated and out of the radar great IEMs I A/B ed them with Pilgrim and other midfi stuff and IMHO the Cadenza is more balance with great bass and extended trebles. There is no strange peaks or whatsoever too. The bass is open, well define and clean without any...- DynamicEars

Yeah from the graph, its better on 12 khz area, I don't think its too safe but just maybe "It could be better". What I'm saying is don't shy and don't scared with EST, but the EBC80 is somewhat better in tuning with EST than majority sets, I've tried like maybe over 10 IEMs with EST (including...- DynamicEars

Like I said, many companies still hesitate or scared to tune the EST bigger in quantity, as they thought it will shrill like BAs or planars or even DD. In fact ESTs are "shy". they need to be tuned MOARRRRRR than they used to tuned other drivers, or at least +3db from neutral point on past 10khz...- DynamicEars

WTH so the "sound different" reviewed all this time is all because of the high impedance output?? well.. like @anli said "The only guess is: "we don't know how to make it better, then we will do it just different - users will not understand this background". lol btw @Ineras so all this time...- DynamicEars
