Cmoy Mint Tin
i tried steel wool too it works pretty descent but like above said.. it leaves paint in the brim of the top of the mint...quite annoying..- drunknmunky

cmoy question, possible problem
ok i've go the left channel to work(capacitor leads touching bare jumper) but now its insanely loud on both sides. im using low imped(45ohm) v600's as a test btw my gain is 11 as i mentioned(10 and 1), and im thinking this is why its so extrmerely loud. without a pot(which i will add) its...- drunknmunky

cmoy question, possible problem
ok i so i just finished building a cmoy amp! yay, no static or whatnot but there is one concern. if i move the output jack around(its not in the mint tin yet) while the amp is running some music, it gets crazy loud. I'm using the line out of my sony cd player to test the amp out...without...- drunknmunky

Thanks MisterX I figured this out only minutes ago on my own, and I felt like such an idiot. At first in my mind i had the pot's r and l in's coming from the input jack...and that the pot's outs went directly to the ouput jacks left and rights. really small enclosures
I think ppl used altoids tin not only for its small size, but because its also a shielder. The case u have there is plastic...which, correct if im wrong, won't block interference from the outside, thus ruining ur quality sound, like a metal tin does.- drunknmunky
