Anybody else own multiple pairs of the same IEM?
Is the NRR the same, do you know? I use my IEMs pretty much solely to either stream white noise or listen to Brain.fm. Ie, for noise isolation purposes. If I want to listen to music, I use my Bluetooth headphones!- drosehill

Anybody else own multiple pairs of the same IEM?
Please help me make a probably unnecessary online purchase! I already own three pairs of Etymotics. One is an MC5 that I find quite uncomfortable relative to my MK5s — so just sit in a box. I own another pair of MK5s which have developed a weird buzzing sound sometimes — so are certainly on the...- drosehill

Are there many counterfeit Etymotics
Greetings folks, So I recently picked up a pair of Etymotics from eBay. As you're probably wondering why I didn't just buy from Amazon — I live in the Middle East and (at the time I tried to place the order) they weren't showing as shipping (they since are). After purchasing, I suddenly...- drosehill

Do Etymotic IEMs still offer the very best passive noise isolation possible?
And re: the triple flanges and discomfort. All I can say is that after many hours of use I think I have simply gotten used to it. And a little vaseline helps too.- drosehill

Do Etymotic IEMs still offer the very best passive noise isolation possible?
Cool! Hadn't come across that brand before. I see they sell on Aliexpress for about $300. How do you measure the dB reduction / NRR out of interest? I know Etymotic claims they do 35 - 42, but 30 would be enough for my needs. (There's supposed to be a construction project beginning down the...- drosehill

Do Etymotic IEMs still offer the very best passive noise isolation possible?
I'm looking to buy another pair of IEMs. I have two MK5s already but one has just started making a hissing sound (probably a bad cable). Is Etymotic with triple flanges still the undisputed king of passive noise isolation or are there other options that have come on the market since I last...- drosehill

Which Etymotic triple flanges to buy?
Thanks. No, I know exactly what you're talking about with the umbrella-like folding. Actually, that's the perfect way to describe it! Yeah, come to think of it, I might be doing something similar to keep the small ones in. I guess I'll just have to pay closer attention the next time I'm wearing...- drosehill

Which Etymotic triple flanges to buy?
Thanks. Bought some Complys but haven't used them in a while. I feel ridiculous asking this, but how does one know whether one has large or regular ears? I want to stock up on them but am not sure which is the right size/model!- drosehill

Which Etymotic triple flanges to buy?
I have the Etymotic MK5s. They're pretty much single-handedly responsible for allowing me to get any work done in my current open office environment. After a couple of near misses with the flanges getting disconnected while in my ear, I've vowed to take replacing them every so often more...- drosehill
