Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Yeah. For 70 USD, they're really quite good. I haven't listened to them since I charged them fully, but I also since bought a pair of full sized headphones and probably will buy another full size shortly.- Donut

Interesting, but for another 30 USD - and for what I'd be using it for - I'm not sure the inclusion of the app alone would be worth it. Like dweaver, price was a consideration for this purchase.- Donut

That was straight out of the box. I had to charge the case, then [I assume] the earphones themselves got charged. So as of this typing, everything should be fully charged. So I will eventually test out battery life later. Like I said, the owner's manual seems to advise against using one earbud...- Donut

Got'em. Only listened to them for a few minutes, but initial impressions are basically that the sound quality, especially for 70 USD, is hella good. Minimal features is true. No app is kind of annoying. Haven't used them long enough to test out the battery yet, but I do know I heard 'low...- Donut

You sound like you're a future version of me. I have the XM4s as well that have the battery issue, and I ordered a battery replacement kit off Amazon. I assume I'll eventually have to replace these; I was looking at the AZ80, but I was also looking at the MW09. It's worth noting I have not heard...- Donut

I did this Amazon order a bit differently. I chose an Amazon locker as the delivery location instead of having it shipped directly to me. I was curious. Irony of ironies, even though it arrived to my pickup location today, I wasn't able to get to the location before it closed. So it'll have to...- Donut

Decided to drop $70 for them on Amazon. I've kind of wanted a cheaper backup pair of tws, so we'll see how these are. I'll probably eventually buy the mw09.- Donut

intriguing. but apparently there's no app to go with it? still, it looks like amazon has them for 70. good sound and good battery might be enough for the price.- Donut

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Sennheiser HD 497s started me off on real headphones. Now I'm debating the merits of spending $1k on a pair of at-home 'phones.- Donut

Worth buying at that price? I'm always in the market for an extreme bargain, and these seem kind of unusual given that it comes with a bluetooth dongle, even if the connection is a bottleneck. MW09 worth it? $400 seems like a lot, but Amazon has the kevlar ones at full price right now.- Donut

Part of the appeal of the MW09 is the stated battery run time, honestly. I half want to just get the XM5s, but I've read reports from others that they have the same battery problem. Still, they're pricey and the AZ80 sound like an option, too. Unless there's something else available that I'm...- Donut

Read through this thread some. My WF XM4s have the battery-dying problem, so I'm looking into a second pair, since I'm probably going to risk buying an Amazon battery-swap kit. MW09 worth it? Seems pricey. Debating the AZ80s as well, and possibly anything else that's worth it.- Donut

I'm looking at buying open-back headphones
Double checked, just to be sure. I indeed do have the DX3 Pro, not the Pro Plus. Mine was the predecessor to the Pro Plus. I'm specifically running just my headphones through the Topping. My speakers have a direct line to my computer. Found a link to it: https://drop.com/buy/topping-dx3-pro...- Donut

I'm looking at buying open-back headphones
So I'm looking to buy a new set of headphones. Open-back. Budget is preferably in the $400-600 range, but I can stretch depending on if it would be worth the money. Some background: my main source is a bit of a limitation: I listen and watch almost everything through my computer. I am running a...- Donut

AMP/DAC to connect with PC
I thought I saw one? I guess I saw a different model. Anyway, it hardly seems worth the effort to run my future speakers through a separate amp/DAC without knowing what they sound like plugged straight into my computer first. Headphones are a different story. Hopefully I'll put an order in for...- Donut
