TiVo series 3 HD PVR?
I have a Dish 625 dual tuner DVR which is SD only, but they have a HD version that I hear works the exact same way but has a bigger hard drive and HD tuners. The interface is excellent, it works flawlessly and makes the Comcast DVR look like a fisher price toy by comparison. Dish boxes may not...- dmichael

New Nanos=Less Volume???
I could tell from the demos at the apple store that the 60g iPod was significantly louder than the 2nd gen nano (all versions) using the same non-powered bose headphones. Should not be an issue for line-out at the dock connector though.- dmichael

New Ipod: 80GB and gapless playback! I'm in...
Just to confirm... I was wrong about gapless working on my 4g, sorry about that. Its a firmware thing, so I'd hope they would include it in the next iPod Updater.- dmichael

New Ipod: 80GB and gapless playback! I'm in...
You know what, I'll have to confirm that myself because I was short on time and did not have any headphones close by, so I tested the gapless on iTunes 7 itself not the iPod so I could be wrong about this.- dmichael

New Ipod: 80GB and gapless playback! I'm in...
I have a 4G ipod and I updated iTunes to v.7, it did the gapless thing on my library and I updated my ipod. Listened to Dark Side of the Moon that I ripped at 320 mp3 and it played with no gap between tracks.- dmichael

iPod (G5) Refurbs are Cheap
If you buy directly from Apple, are the cases(both front and back) on the Nano's replaced as well? For some reason, it seems the Nano's scratch up more than any other model to date (so I've read).- dmichael

Closeout on iRiver PCDPs
Gumsticks are gumsticks - these only come in 1 size, they are a size like AAA's are a size. I just got my bare bones 550/remote today, but I also ordered a 550 power adapter which did not fit the player, called Iriver estore support and they said based on the model of the adapter that was...- dmichael

Modified RSA Hornet Impressions?
I've met Ray in person at a meet and I like him. He's a nice guy. He works hard and make good products. He does not need me to defend him, he's perfectly capable of do that for himself. If anyone wants to figure out what parts he uses and build a clone for themselves, more power to him. If you...- dmichael
