Suspect its just analog in with some serial control functions from the amp. Denon & Pioneer have ipod connectivity too - there's a Denon page somewhere that claims digital connectivity but it would need to read files (like USB transfer) as I don't think there's a digital stream on the ipod dock...

So does anyone understand exactly what Eupod (or Sound Check in itunes) is doing ? Presumeably it's boosting after any digital processing if there's no clipping (?)
