Vsonic GR06 - after few months, one side is significantly lower than the other
I hate to inject myself in an old thread, but it's related. I also purchased from Ebay (Sept. 2013) and just began to have issues with the left ear phone. I had noticed it prior to this, but it was very rare and I had chalked it up to a loose cable to my phone/mp3 player and or gym sweat. ...- Devcon

Problem with Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5pro
If you do not come up with a solution, I may be willing to buy the broken one from ya. I have a pair, but one broke when I was in Africa. I didn't have a soldering iron, and the cheap-ass chinese ones do more harm than good. Anyway, ended up burning the solder pads off one of the drivers. Now...- Devcon

Best pair of earbuds for the gym?

Super.Fi 5 Pro DIY Repair
I had previously replaced my cable with the Westone cable, so I had the original cable. Applying a little bit of solder to each end was enough to have continuity. Again, it worked fine for one, but the other is in tougher shape. Since the solder pad fell off the big driver, the contact points...- Devcon

Super.Fi 5 Pro DIY Repair
So I fixed one of them. It was in fact: From Socket: Red to Pin 1 Large driver -> Capacitor -> Pin 2 Small Driver From Socket: Green to Pin 3 Large driver -> Pin 3 Small Driver Unfortunately, with the other one, the solder pad fell off the large driver. Now I'm having hard time because...- Devcon

Super.Fi 5 Pro DIY Repair
Interesting. That is what I thought. However, my curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to open my other iem. As it was also a mess of glue on the inside, some of the solder points broke on opening, but one inconsistency is that the 'red to cap to pin 1 on the small driver' is in fact...- Devcon

Super.Fi 5 Pro DIY Repair
It is kind of tough to tell... Is there a cable soldered to either of the middle solder points on the two armatures? I'm currently doing the following: I have 2 cables shaped like a "Y "(two cables twisted together) and a short cable. The base of the two "Y" connects to the 2 prong cable input...- Devcon

Super.Fi 5 Pro DIY Repair
I've had a pair of Super Fi 5 Pros for a few years. As with many folks and the problem of the casing coming unglued and cables often coming snapping as a result, they have broken before. As I'm in Africa and they were out of warranty, I brought them to a repair guy whom surprisingly fixed...- Devcon

Does this type of player exist? A CD-Player that reads DVD 'Audio' Discs?
The only downside I see to the DVD Player is the battery life. Most last only 3 hours. I checked out the latest Coby, and it lasts 3 hours; however, I have no idea how that would translate to music-only use. I like the 89 dollar price tag though.- Devcon

Does this type of player exist? A CD-Player that reads DVD 'Audio' Discs?
You guys are correct in that I'm not looking for Audio-DVD's. I had no idea such a thing existed. I just want to burn data DVD's with all my MP3 files as a cheaper and more durable solution to a DAP. That way, I can burn, say a few hundred songs onto each disc rather than 100 that a data-CD...- Devcon

Does this type of player exist? A CD-Player that reads DVD 'Audio' Discs?
2 years in Senegal, West Africa. Not a very electronics-friendly environment. But if the best I can find is a $180 dollar player that doesn't even have good reviews, it might be worth it to pay the extra 70 bucks and risk it with an X5L or Vision. Of course, deciding between the X5L and...- Devcon

Does this type of player exist? A CD-Player that reads DVD 'Audio' Discs?
I'm going over seas in a few weeks and I'm looking for some way to bring my music. An MP3 player is a bit too expensive considering it will likely be stolen, broken, or unable to be recharged. I've been looking on Amazon for a simple walkman type cd player that reads dvd discs. It would be...- Devcon

Friend is a BOSE lover, help
Yeah, i'm not going to pass judgement on any Bose or Sony headphones as I have never heard any Bose and only a couple sonys. I do own a pair of EX71's which I dislike, but I didn't think the V700's were terrible. I'm not too difficult to please, and I like new sounds, but they just didn't...- Devcon

Friend is a BOSE lover, help
This made me chuckle. I have a buddy who has a pair of Sony V700DJ's. Whenever it comes up, he talks about how good they are compared to anything there is out there. I have a pair of SR225's and DT880's and he stated definitively that his sony's sound much better. Granted, I only have a PA2V2...- Devcon
