    AIFF/ALAC/FLAC/WAV????

There is no reason for wav. If you use itunes, alac is the the way to go if you don't want hassle. Otherwise I would chose FLAC, which soundwise is equivalent to others, but it is more widely accepted.

    Bela Fleck & the Flecktones

Yea, having boat loads of talent and experience always helps. He is able to play with people like himself (Edgar Meyer comes to mind).

    Classical Contemporary Music Thread

The thing about Ligeti is that for someone who has spent time in a concentration camp, he has a pretty solid sense of humor. Just listen to Nonsense Madrigals for example. I guess you either lose your mind, or develop a strong sense of irony after an experience like that.

    Classical Contemporary Music Thread

I am a big fan of Ligeti. I have listen to to the Sony recordings countless times. He and Bartok have to be my favorite 20th century classical composers. I must have been Hungarian in a previous life.

    Bela Fleck & the Flecktones

I saw them live in Florida, I think it was 1993 or so. They were so good.

Is it worth getting really high-end headphones if your source is 320kbps audio files?

I think if you have the best set up money can buy for your ears, and you went from perfect input to 320, you probably wouldn't care (or wouldn't even realize). If you changed your headphones, you definitely would care. 320 is not 128, it is not going to be a glaring deficiency.

Spanish or french music with vocals

Probably the best well known Spanish flamenco singer is Camaron de la Isla (he died 20 years ago). You should check him out. I like Estrella Morente as well. She is alive and well.

What happened to all my posts?

I see. Thanks for the info. A google search reveals nothing, but there were no masterpieces of literature in there anyways.

What happened to all my posts?

I joined head-fi around 10 years ago, and have been inactive for a while, but in my previous life I had quite a few post, and I see that those have been deleted somehow. Is this because of a migration to new forums?
