Bypassing the iPod Classic internal amp a question
Wondering what your opinion is on sound quality between those 3 amp/dacs, and what headphones you have them paired with? Cheers- DefconZero

The Basshead Club
Can you elaborate on this? From my visual understanding, M100 Highs=Lows>Mids, Q40 Lows>Mids=Highs ? Looking to get a pair for my portable setup and these 2 seem to fit my price range the best for "basshead". I use DT770 250ohm at home. What about recommendations for a portable amp for...- DefconZero

What are your favorite headphones of this group?
Just bought the DT770's and so far am LOVING them. Before that I had the AKG K81DJ's and loved those as well. Clearly a basshead trail...and won't be stopping anytime soon. :P- DefconZero

Audio-gd NFB-5, 9 switchable filters
Took a jump on this as I just bought some new DT770's (250ohm) to replace my dying K81DJ's. Probably could have gotten something cheaper, but I figure I won't be upgrading for a while, so might as well spend a little more. Will post some impressions when it gets here (so, give or...- DefconZero

Solid state headphone amp with very solid bass?
I figured I'd ask here since this thread is already on the topic of what I want to find out as well, except I'm looking for something a little less expensive, more around the $200-300 range. :D- DefconZero

NFB-12 vs NFB-5 vs Tubemagic D1 vs ? for DT770-250PRO
Hey guys, So I just bought a pair of DT770-250Pro's to replace my K81DJ's that finally bit the dust after several years. I'm looking to get a DAC/AMP combo to complement them. I will be outputting from a MBP, so optical/USB (optical being the better of the two I'm assuming)...- DefconZero

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Long time lurker, (almost) first time poster. I started out a longgg time ago by buying a pair of K81DJ's to get myself into the game of "hifi". Albeit budget, these headphones were way better then anything I ever had before, and the BASS. After a good couple years, these headphones are...- DefconZero

Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]
Hey Guys, Long time lurker, now I think it's time I started making REAL posts. I bought me some AKG K81DJ's a while back. Came upon the hugggge thread on them, which is what got me hooked. Been loving them ever since, and no matter what happens, I don't let them die. First mishap, the...- DefconZero

The search begins for new headphones...
Yes, I saw that, and considered it, but decided against it. Seeing how I'll be looking into repairing the connector on this set in the near future anyways, I don't think getting a 2nd pair is needed, hence why I am now looking into a new *upgraded* set. I've been doing a little reading, and...- DefconZero
