Seems we have about the same issue here, but on different headphones. You could try blowing at the driver and see if that moves any particle in there.

Ah, yes... that person seems to have had a similiar issue, maybe it was a temporary glitch. I'll certainly give them some burn in time before going through the motions of a warranty claim.   Thanks for the reply!  

Hmm... looked carefully and couldn't see any hairs. But I blew into the driver cover and surprisingly after that it vanished for about a minute before it came back again, I blew into the cover again and it seems to have vanished for the moment. I really can't see anything loose in there, but...

'88 Volvo 740 and '93 Daimler DoubleSix - I think a reasonable price for both would be about $1500. So yeah, headphones are going to win here.

I think I might've been a bit misleading about the source, it's not exclusively streaming music - just happened to fancy that radio station. However, most of it is mp3 files of assorted quality, if I can get a FLAC version of something I usually do, occasionally a regular CD gets played too...
