I have updated via OTA... All went smooth and I can confirm that I no longer have any issues with playback when the screen goes to sleep. The feedback is that battery life is improved with the latest firmware and that is definitely the case for me I will have run it for hours commuting this...

Changed the battery and sorted with remote now thanks

Light Comes on so it has some power.... Looked for a spare as was going to try this but none at home at the minute. Thank you for the suggestion I will get a spare battery and try swapping it over.

FiiO Will the Rm1 work once again with the new beta? I haven't been able to connect the FiiO remote in any of the betas so far. Also the screen sleep issue... If I allow my screen to sleep play pauses and I have to manually switch the X7 on again for each track whilst driving. If these issues...

I can confirm that latest version still has the screen issue.... When the screen sleeps so does the music. I keep my screen on at all times to combat this but it drains the battery quicker. Also no way of linking with Rm1 and I have tried everything. These are the only 2 problems that impact...

Yes i mainly use line out too....I have mentioned it a few times I'm kind of pleased others are starting to find the same as i thought it was just me.

Just in pure music mode and using line out through my car.

Hi Fiio, The freezing ocurrs when the screen goes to sleep...No further tracks will play so I currently have screen always on to counter it. RM1 can find other things to connect but hasn't worked with X7 since upgrading from FW 2

@Fiio has there been a fix yet for the player freezing when the screen goes to sleep? I wanted to check before going through the process of updating and cleaning memory again. I also still cannot connect to the Rm1 remote anymore and this is on 3.1.5
