Bass distortion only from left speaker of Audioengine A2+
Sounds like you've done a great job trying to troubleshoot this. I just tested this out on a set of A2+s I have, and I didn't hear anything similar. I think there's likely an issue with your A2+s. If you haven't already I'd recommend opening a Technical Support ticket on our support portal...- DanielP

The right speaker on my Audioengine A2s is making a resonant sound with some frequencies
If the noise seems to be coming from the rear panel, that sounds like it could be air leaking out the cabinet through cracks where the post goes through the panel. My guess is when you turn it upside down, some of the acoustic dampening material on the inside may be shifting in a way that...- DanielP

Audioengine D1 Premium 24-Bit DAC to drive AKG K7xx?
I have read some of the reviews that say the K7XX are harder to drive than their impedance would suggest. Even so, from other context clues (being able to get any reasonable volume from a smartphones headphone jack for example), I wouldn't expect driving these to be a problem for the D1. I...- DanielP

Audioengine A2 crackling noise
Hi KeyMs92, Sorry to hear about your A2s. Have you tested these out in a different location since the issue started? Listening to the soundcloud clip, it doesn't really sound like what I'd expect of interference in most cases, but it's always a good test to start with. After that I'd...- DanielP

Audioengine A2+ vs A5+ : theres noticeable difference ?
Just the A2+s have a USB DAC built in. The A5+s do have a USB port, but it's just for charging other devices.- DanielP

Audioengine A2+ vs A5+ : theres noticeable difference ?
From that, I think the A2+ would probably fit in that space best, and would meet or exceed your expectations on output volume. If you do decide to check them out, be sure to let us know what you think!- DanielP

Audioengine A2+ vs A5+ : theres noticeable difference ?
By near-field listening I mean listening done right in front of the speakers. By at a distance, I mean listening you would do across the room from where the speakers are. If all your use will be at a desktop, the next things to consider are, how much space do you have, and how loud do...- DanielP

Audioengine A2+ vs A5+ : theres noticeable difference ?
I work for Audioengine, and we get this question a lot. The A5+ and A2+ share a very similar design, and sound a lot alike. The A5+s being much larger (and having a higher output amplifier) means that they can play a good bit louder, and they do also have a little more low end extension on...- DanielP

Audioengine A5+ / 2+ : How long to burn in ?
@cel4145 is right, you can use your speakers normally as soon as you get them. Break in will happen on it's own as you use them, and there's nothing special you need to do. I work for Audioengine, and we usually recommend around 40 to 50 hours of mid level playback before doing any...- DanielP

Audioengine A2+ popping
Welcome to head-fi! Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your A2+s. I work for Audioengine, and this doesn't sound like something I'd expect you to run into with them. If you haven't already I'd recommend contacting Audioengine support - support@audioengineusa.com. It sounds...- DanielP

Need advice for buying A/V receiver for existing Audioengine A5+ powered speakers
If you're just looking for a way to make switching between sources easier, another option might be an audio switch like this one - http://www.amazon.com/Source-Tabletop-Control-Switch-Internal/dp/B0056DQT1A- DanielP

Old Audioengine A5 massive pops, crackle
I mention this because it's one example of a very easy to fix issue that could be mistaken as this "wind noise" issue, due to similar sounding symptoms. We wouldn't expect something like this in a new factory fresh product either, but dust can accumulate in any analog potentiometer over a...- DanielP

Old Audioengine A5 massive pops, crackle
Hi All, I work for Audioengine. We wanted to provide the head-fi community with an update on this and clear a few things up. Like Brady mentioned early on in this thread, we have seen a few A5s come back with these symptoms and we've been taking a close look at them. So far though...- DanielP

Android phones and USB DACs
Hey. This was with a Wi-Fi only model. Just to reiterate (and to dot my i's); stock software for the 2013 Nexus 7 does not currently support USB audio. To get this feature, on this device - unofficial, unsupported, software (Cyanogenmod 11, as of nightly 20131212) is necessary. ...- DanielP

Android phones and USB DACs
cm-11 nightly (20131209) did not support native playback over USB. I can confirm though, that cm-11 nightly (20131212) does support native USB audio as well as hot-plugging on the 2013 Nexus 7 too.- DanielP
